Following a stroke, suffered on 18th June 2010
and the ongoing heart condition from
which Roger has suffered since 2001, he has decided on
strong medical advice to cease working as a singer,
songwriter, caller, dance musician and workshop leader in
the field of folk music.
Continuing this work would render it
very likely that Roger will suffer from another and much
larger stroke and so the trading identity of Creative
Traditional Arts has been wound up, all work in the diary
has been cancelled and no new work will be undertaken.
Many apologies to all who hoped to see
Roger through the festival season and beyond.
And many thanks to all the fellow
musicians and singers with whom he has worked, along with
teachers and children, dancers and audiences, workshop
participants and organisers who have supported the projects
he has devised.
Boka Halat has also been wound up –
