“A tradition without creativity is in danger of being mistaken for a museum”

Performance, education & training, bringing a new and creative approach to English traditions

It would be fair to say that more people have been introduced to traditional music, dance and song through TAPS than any other scheme I have ever witnessed.  Roger has made his mark as the leader of this first class development project.  I hope he will continue to fly the flag for TAPS for as long as he can afford the time and has his amazing energy.”   – Steve Heap, Folk Arts England

Since the demise of TAPS, a casualty of Arts Council England’s funding cuts in 2008, Roger continues to deliver and develop, as a freelance artist, the projects, based on English traditions, which he devised for the organisation. He is also available for performance, creative work and as a tutor.

Based in Berkshire Roger has worked and continues to work throughout England and Europe.

A range of intercultural projects is also delivered by Roger and Musa Mboob under the name of Boka Halat.
